Intel Achieves Functional Safety Certification

Intel today announced select SKUs in the Intel Atom® x6000E series of processors have obtained IEC61508 SIL2 and ISO13849 certification from TÜV SÜD, a certification agency. With this certification, designers can accelerate development and deployment of industrial applications that must adhere to strict functional safety (FuSa) standards.
