I had (almost) the same thing happen back when Amazon got pissed over me asking people to use my affiliate link. You'd think they'd be happy that we send thousands of people a year to their site. Google went all ballistic on me as well because I inadvertently told people to "click on everything and try to break stuff." That got my site banned for 60 days. Stupid banner ad rules are stupid.
You may have noticed the Amazon banners we used to have are now missing. Yup, we were thrown out of their affiliate program again. This time the reason was: "Purchases resulting from Special Links on your Site have been for personal use, resale, or commercial use, or have been made by your friends, relatives, employees, contractors, or business relations."
