Gigabyte Cutting Personnel And Marketing Costs?

According to DigiTimes, Gigabyte is reportedly planning to cut up to 10% of its sales and marketing personnel in the first half of 2019. The good news? DigiTimes is infamous for citing "anonymous" sources (in this case "some market watchers") and their stories are wrong more often than not.

As demand for graphics card is expected to experience a sharp decline and motherboard sales will stay weak in 2019, most motherboard/graphics card players are likely to see shrinking revenues from the segments in the year. To minimize the impact, Asustek Computer, Micro-Star International (MSI) and Gigabyte have all tightened up control of their expenses.
