Surprising E3 Trends

I like how the author of this article tries to make it seem like all these video game launches in January and February are intentional and could lead to a trend. Seriously, all these games have been delayed previously...some of them several times. I just don't see delaying a game multiple times as being a "strategy."

But E3 indicates an even bigger change is coming, with many of its biggest games getting release dates coming in January and February instead of in the fall. Anthem; Kingdom Hearts 3; Resident Evil 2; Crackdown 3; Days Gone: that's six big, well-marketed triple-A titles all coming out in the first two months of 2019. If the strategy pans out, this is something you'll see more in the future.
