Apple: iPhones Are Too 'Complex' to Let You Fix Them

Attention peons! Do not attempt to fix your iPhone...it is beyond your comprehension!!! What's that you say? The 16 year old kid with a nose ring working at you local smartphone repair shop can swap out a screen and battery in 30 minutes or less? He must be a rocket scientist in his spare time.

The company's message is that rather than repairability, the company designs its products for "durability." If a repair is needed, it should be "accessible," but only at an Apple-authorized repair shop, which are often inconveniently located and aren't given permission to do hard repairs.
