I posted this on Facebook but I wanted to share it with you guys as well, especially with all the websites posting (
with new beards, etc.) about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. First of all, I have worked from home for 20+ years, so acting like I am inconvenienced in some way by this lock down would be extremely disingenuous. I'm fine. I'll be fine...the family is a bit stir crazy but they are fine. Secondly, we bought a new 39 foot travel trailer the week BEFORE the shutdown so we were ALREADY sheltering in place at the time of the lock down. There are so many people that have it worse than we do...way...way...way worse. So, if we can all just think about our fellow man during the pandemic, instead of ourselves, that would be great.
What brought this on is that my son (Captain America), who normally visits the children's hospital with his friends every weekend, hasn't been able to visit the kids in almost a month. If lock down is driving you crazy, just think of what it is like to be a child stuck in the hospital right now with no super heroes while we all complain about toilet paper. 😟
