Water Sports -Steve
I posted up a little waterblock roundup at HardOCP, good stuff, you'll definitely want to take a look. I have also updated the reviews page. On the subject of water cooling, we have a little info on the upcoming external water cooling set ups by Koolance called the EXOS. Very cool stuff, you can basically set it right on top of your existing system run the lines in ( without modification to your case ) and you are set. Here's a peek.

Killer Gaming Rig 8 -Steve
It's here folks, the Killer Gaming Rig #8. We will have system specs ( what we have so far ) listed soon...in the mean time, get in it to win it. ENTER THE CONTEST HERE.

09.30.02 -Steve
The hardest part about doing a "Killer Gaming Rig" contest is constantly trying to one up yourself...you can't exactly call it the KGR if the specs are lower than the previous contest...now can you? Coming up with a system that can put the KGR7 a 3GHz, GeForce4 Ti4600 system to shame isn't easy, but we did it. I have the foundation for the KGR 8 ready, and all I need to do is round up the remaining components. Contest opens October 1st.

09.27.02 -Steve
RMA A DAY CONTEST is almost over, only eight days left so get in it to win it. On a side note, I am looking for a digital camera, mine is on its last legs, anyone have one for sale or trade, I am interested....shoot me a line if you got a camera you are interested in getting rid of.

Geek Gals Rule -Steve
Breaking out the camera and catching Goddess of Geek upgrading the war room is always interesting...you have to admit, a woman and her hardware is the ultimate turn on.

Memory With Muscle -Steve
Corsair is kicking in with some more goodies for an upcoming "A Day" contest, but they also sent over some cool stuff like these "Memory With Muscle" tattoos. I have been including these with all of our contest giveaways...here I am modeling one of the tattoos.

09.19.02 -Steve
The contest is going great, this is the longest running "A Day" contest we have done to date. We have some interview action coming up with someone all of you know from CNN / Head Line News, very cool stuff. We also have Yamaha onboard as a Killer Gaming Rig #8 sponsor, if you haven't seen their new Disc T@2 technology, you really need to see it. Very cool...

09.16.02 -Steve
O.K. I am seriously needing some input here, I want you to look at
this monitor here, and then compare it to this monitor here, and tell me what you think...honestly about these monitors and why. These are two new monitors being offered by Monitors Direct, and I want your unbiased opinion of each after you check them out and see which one appeals to you the most. Cool? Go look and tell me what you think.

Now...ENTER THE CONTEST!!

UT2K3 Demo -Steve
I have been playing a little online when I can sit still / lay down long enough to play the new UT2003 Demo. Keep your eye out for me, I'll surely be keeping one out for you....like my newfound bro MeXPuNk3r.

September 11th Remembered -Steve
I thought it would be appropriate to commemorate the first anniversary of the Sept. 11th attacks by observing a moment of silence, and refraining from posting anything in honor of the victims and families of the 9-11 tragedies. As always, our hearts are with everyone today as we remember the people who gave and lost their lives one year ago today.

Through our auction last year, Hypothermia raised $10,161.00 for the WTC Disaster Relief Fund.

New "A-Day" Contest -Steve
Normally we have a "One a Day for a week" contests, but this contest is a little different, this time around we are running this contest for a full month!! Why so generous? Well, we have a box full of RMA (
Return Material Authorization ) items that were originally DOA or KIA during reviews. These have all been returned to the manufacturer and replaced with a schpanky new unit. I have 30 items, mostly motherboards that are all waiting for a new home. What are you waiting for....get your butt in the contest and try to win something!!!

Winners will be given the choice of what they would like to have, until everything is gone. ENTER HERE!!

Watercooled Xbox -Steve
I had made the worlds first and only watercooled Xbox awhile back, but I am planning an even wilder modification soon in the same vein as the watercooled Xbox. Anyone care to take a guess?? C'mon...I'll hook you up with something nice if you can be the first to guess what my next watercooling project is going to be... in the meantime, look through the World's First Watercooled Xbox article for clues.

Killer Gaming Rig #8 -Steve
We will open the Killer Gaming Rig #8 on Friday, Sept. 6th. If you think all our other Killer Gaming Rig contests have been good, this one here will definitely be the biggest and baddest of them all. With the new Radeon 9700 out now, and Pentium 4's out that run at 3.3GHz ( overclocked ), memory speeds at PC3200...the KGR8 will be bar none the fastest gaming rig out there. Get ready....

09.01.02 -Steve
HOLY COW....what is with all these "Editorials and RANTS"?? I mean they are everywhere lately. I am amazed at the sheer amount of armchair quarterbacks that can write articles about "Running Intel / AMD / ATi / NVIDIA better" or "What this company is thinking...". Or just flat out rants about people they don't even know.

I think these guys just need something to do, review...or an idea for a "How-To" ( not a "How-To run a Fortune 500 company from my living room either ) article. Something...ANYTHING... that is productive or helpful to their readers instead of lip service deluxe. Usually when I run out of things to do or hardware to tinker with, I have another giveaway.

MaximumPC Stuff -Steve
MaximumPC magazine has not only a great magazine that both Asia and I are fans of, the gang over there are top notch. You'll remember that Asia recently reviewed Photoshop 7 for MaximumPC, well it seems that more than a few people didn't realize it was THE Asia Carrera that wrote the review. Pick yourself up a copy of the September issue of MaximumPC and read this:

(hey...nice website on her monitor )
