First of all, a huge thanks to our readers (you) for coming together to help us make this project a success. Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to get the monitors and other miscellaneous items needed for this year's project.
Also, the support we received from such fantastic companies as Cooler Master, G.Skill, Intel, Western Digital, SilverStone, Zotac, Corsair, AMD, and PNY was simply mind blowing. Without their generosity, none of this would have been possible. I just can't express how grateful we are for the support of so many individuals.
Trust me when I say that it takes an incredible amount of time and effort to put something like this together and everyone involved should be commended for their efforts. I know it is easy to slip into the mindset that "big companies do this for a write off," but the fact of the matter is that big companies are run by dedicated individuals, people like you and I, that work hard, not only doing their day-to-day job, but going above and beyond to help give back to the community through projects such as this.
Additionally, we have another announcement today. Thanks to an astonishingly generous donation of hardware from AMD, we were not only able to hit our original goal of building twelve computers, we are now able to add an additional half dozen or so systems to our final tally!
Finally, remember the companies listed above that actively support the community the next time you spend your hard earned money on computer parts.
Anyhow, that's it for this update! I will keep you guys updated over the next week or so as I get all these systems set up and ready to deliver! 😎
