Today is a very sad day. One of the people who helped us get the whole
Tsunami donation drive together back in January was killed in the 8.7
magnitude earthquake last week in Indonesia. After the tsunami he went
over to help the people there rebuild their homes and was killed by the
earthquake. How messed up is that? I may put some kind of donation drive
together for his family, I have all the stuff here to make a really nice
computer to be raffled off. The family still has to have his body
returned to the U.S. from Gunung Sitoli before a funeral can be
held.

I have a handful of AMD Athlon64 processors on the way for my next

until the get here. Look for the giveaway to open by Wednesday at the
latest.

Happy Easter! Here is a good place to get information
on Easter. Everything from the date Easter is celebrated on,
the history of Easter and why we eat chocolate bunnies and colored eggs.
Changes:
-Steve
There will be a few changes around here over the next week or two, a
little revamping you might say. Hypothermia will be the same place
you've come to love and enjoy, I am just going to tidy things up a bit.
Some pages might be unavailable while they are update, some stuff will
just be removed all together. I'll keep you updated.

For those of you that have asked (or
those that might not know), I am

Just to let you guys know, I am going to steer clear of doing multiple
giveaways / donation drives at the same time. This last time was a
logistical nightmare because of the sheer amount of winners we had to
get prizes out to. Everyone has received their prizes already EXCEPT for
the winners of the autographed items, they are being personally autographed
and sent directly to you.

I have some really cool contest stuff coming up soon that I think you
guys will really dig on...I'll give you a hint...it starts with CP and
ends with U. I have a handful of processor lined up for my next giveaway
so stay tuned.

Billy "Wicked" Wilson of Voodoo Extreme fame passed
away last night at the age of 33. Billy was one of the
people that encouraged / helped me start Hypothermia and he is survived
by his young son Dax and ex-wife Aimee. There is no information on a
memorial fund, but if you guys want to donate a little something for
Billy's son, go head over to GamingGroove and do so. Billy's
interview from 1999.

I am slightly backlogged trying to get everyone taken care of in our
last two giveaways / contest winners. Between the Ghost Recon 2 giveaway
and the donation drive I am coordinating prizes that are going out to 66
people right now. I have contacted / received confirmation from everyone
that has won something, I just haven't had a chance to answer everyone
who has e-mailed me asking "what did I win". :^)

Because this topic comes up fairly often, I'll repost this again today.
I get asked all the time if we accept donations for the upkeep of the
site and giveaways we do here, while we do not "actively"
request donations or anything like that, we added a "donate via
PayPal" button some time back to accommodate those of you wanting
to give something to help out with our day to day costs of running this
site. As always, thanks!
