Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, you'll be a mile from them, and you'll have their shoes.

I have selected a winner for the Killer Gaming Rig #6 and am waiting for confirmation....check your mail, check it twice, it could be you. And remember, if the winner doesn't reply...we will select another winner. The clock is ticking!!!! Good luck!!

KGR #6 Info -Steve
There is a "slight" delay in drawing a winner for the KGR #6. Some jerk spammed the contest with thousands of e-mail addresses, over and over. I am going through and removing all of his entries, and will then be able to pull a legitimate winner. No biggy...things will be on track by Wednesday for a Winner.
I have contacted the person responsible for screwing up the contest, and have "persuaded" him into not ever entering a contest again, or I would turn you guys loose on him.

I have also updated the Best Buy Fiasco page again today...go see what we have cooking.

Ever heard the saying "Nice guys always finish last..."?? I have a website dedicated to the best giveaways and contests on the planet...bar none. We give away more free stuff in a year than most people make in yearly income, and too me...I think that's pretty nice.

So today, I stop by McDonalds drive thru to pick up some lunch for me and the kids. There is a SUPER pretty girl working the window, very friendly ( note to self: gotta go to McD's more often...damn ) I drive home and notice, the girl gave me $20 too much change. So being the nice guy that I am, jump back in the car and rush up to McDonald to give this girl the money....and get pulled over by the cops. DAMN. Here's where it gets funny...the Officer reads Hypothermia and [H]ardOCP, and he recognizes me. So we B.S. for a little bit, we talk about Asia Carrera being my friend...then he goes back to his car....

...and still gives me a ticket !!! What an Assclown. I made it back to give the Drive Thru Window Hottie her money back, and have a ticket to show for it. <OUCH>

KGR #6 stuff -Steve
Doing the final assembly, burn in and testing on the Killer Gaming Rig 6....since the hole pattern on the GeForce4 is different than all previous GeForce cards, the video card water block I had will not work with it, I am looking around for some last minute solutions... we'll see what I can dig up. Here's a look at the 3GHz Monsta....

I have some very cool contest action coming up as soon as we give away the Killer Gaming Rig #6... I think you guys will really like what I have for you. In the meantime...hit the link below, and win something.

The final components for the KGR #6 will arrive anytime now, so make sure you enter to win this awesome machine.

We have a bunch of cool stuff coming up for you, with any luck...some naked pictures of Levelord and Tom Mustaine from Ritual Entertainment. I was teasing Tom about sending the Police after him to get our interview with him finished up, and this was the response I got:

Haha, The cops dropped by and I showed them what we were working on and they understood why I haven't had time! Heh, Your interview is still on top of the list. I haven't had time to wash clothes since December, so...yeah.

Ummm, that's gross...so either the Ritual gang stink bad enough to kill off everything in a 20 mile radius, or they are sitting around designing their new game in the nude. Either way...we'll bring you photographic evidence. !!! You heard it first here.

Weekend -Steve
Only a few days left to enter the Killer Gaming Rig #6 Contest.... you will never forgive yourself if you don't at least get in there and enter ONCE and try to win this awesome machine.
I have a handful of stuff I am looking at giving away in our net contests, I might put it to a vote again and let you guys chose what you want given away next.

Thu 03-14-01 -Steve
A random Asia picture today... I have had this one for awhile, but I figured I had hogged it long enough. I don't know about you, but all I can think about after seeing this picture is there is no need for cuffs...I would go willingly!!!

Being friends with someone famous like Asia is awesome...for obvious reasons, but the added benefit is that I get to share with you guys, and that kicks ass too.

What do you to satisfy the LAN urge but you are so crippled up from a back injury that it hurts to just stand still, let alone try to haul all your stuff to a LAN Party?? Easy, have your friends like Justin and Chad TeVelde bring their Xbox over...steal the wife's TV out of the bedroom and get some Xbox LAN action going. Fun stuff...even if you are physically hosed like I am. Kyle got me going since he went and put together a special LAN box for a weekend gig...made me want to get in on some LAN-age too.

I also have some Best Buy News coming up, probably tonight on the Best Buy GeForce4 info page. We have been contacted by the Attorney General's office about looking into this matter for us.

Weekend Stuff -Steve
I don't know how many times I have to stress the importance of having a valid e-mail address when entering these contests. I have one person who never claimed the KT266A Motherboard in the Hardware-a-Day contest, entered a bunch of times too.

..... BTW: David Gobaud from Las Vegas needs to contact me too, I asked him for an address and phone number and he sent me a Mailboxes Etc. address, and no phone number. If you know David, have him contact me...the SECOND e-mail he gave me was bad as well.

Let me explain something to everyone, Mailbox Etc.  ( and other mailbox services ) can not receive an insured package from FedEx that requires a signature from you. When you are contacted for your prize, please make sure you send correct shipping information and a phone number. With just under two weeks left for the Killer Gaming Rig #6 to be drawn, I do not want to end up having the Winner lose out on a machine worth thousands of dollars because they gave me wrong shipping info. It costs a LOT of money to FedEx a complete system to the winner, if they don't claim it the first time, another winner will be selected who WILL claim their prize.

Thu 03.07.02 -Steve
All the Hardware a Day Contest winners have been sent a notification, so check your e-mail and see if you have won. I haven't received confirmation from all my winners yet. So make sure to double check your mail. I have more interview action coming up....And I have been thinking about doing another Ask Asia here in the near future where you guys get to submit the questions, and if I use your question you win a prize. That's always fun....I hadn't thought about that in a while until my regular readers that hang out at Blues News pointed out we hadn't done one recently. (
Blue makes fun of me cause of my little "hang up" over Asia being a Computer Geek / Porn Star....I keep trying to tell everyone, that's the perfect kind of woman Computer Geek - Gaming chicks are hard to come by!!! )

While you're here...enter the Killer Gaming Rig 6 Contest below...only two weeks left to win that bad ass system.

Weekend Stuff -Steve
Not sure how many of you guys have had a chance to visit The Smoking Gun, but I am a regular visitor...I love that place. Well, the fellas hooked me up with a couple T-Shirts for me and the wife, pretty damn snazzy.

Thu 03.05.02 -Steve
Working on a few color coordinated projects around the Casa. This system is a nice little water cooled system I am doing based on an Athlon 1900+, nForce motherboard, GeForce4 Ti4600...the works. Finding black components is a little bit of a pain, but worth it in the end, color coordinating your system is a sure fire way to get "ooooh's and aaahh's" when people see your system.

The ass kicking components on the inside is what wow's the crowd when the sit down and actually use it. Very nice.
