Week 2
We are back again with
this weeks installment of "Countdown to Competition" featuring
the lovely Lisa Dixon. From the onslaught of e-mail I received about
Lisa last week, I have decided I will take a handful of the good
questions you guys send in and we will have Lisa answer them next week??
O.K.? So send me good questions that you'd like to see answered ( keep
them reasonable ) and I will put Lisa to work answering them. Now
remember, this is a woman training for a serious professional level
competition. . . who works and puts together this article weekly for
Hypothermia. . so keep the questions to a decent length as well. Other
than that, fire away to me here at Hypothermia
.

1.) I noticed last week, you quoted
bodyfat percentages. . . . .how do you determine what your bodyfat is?? Does
it help to be naked when
figuring the percentage??
Well actually, the way
that my bodyfat is determined is by someone
pinching me in 9 different areas with a thing called a caliper which
measures the distance from one side of the pinch to the other.
When I get pinched I
generally wear a pair of short shorts and
a sports bra.
2.)When you say working on a
FLEXIBILITY routine and moves. . . what kind
of moves are these??
Because flexibility is
my best talent I have a lot of them! Some of
them I took from cirque de sole (a circus
put on mostly in Las Vegas). These
include a move where I lay on my stomach and do the splits over my
head, a move where I do a handstand and have my back arched so that
my feet touch my head, a move where I jump
and land in the splits etc etc......


3.) I've heard that bodybuilding and
Fitness training is considered an artform,
but instead of using clay or paint, it is your body that you sculpt
to eventually display. . are you naturally an exhibitionist or has
this helped you become one??
Let me just say that
Americans in general are very conservative!! For
some reason the society is really down on
women who like to show a bit more.
In Australia woman wear less (could be because of the weather), we
even go topless at the beach - something you would be arrested for
in
most places in the United States!
Of course I have always
been somewhat of an exhibitionist anyway. But
I will say that the more "in
shape" I am the more comfortable I am with wearing
revealing clothes.

4.) O.K. a break from the training
questions. . . lets hit the personal stuff.
Type of music while:
working out?: Usually
something with a fast beat e.g. techno or dance
music (it gives me more energy)
driving?: I
listen to anything from classical to rap, I also like to
listen to talk radio
sometimes. Have you heard of the Tom Lykis show? I
think it is very entertaining to listen to other people's points of
view!
5.)Outside of personal training and
working out. . . when you have free time,
what's Lisa do??
Play on the computer,
watch movies, read, and SLEEP.
6.) I have heard that fitness
competitors and bodybuilders often take either
photographs or video of themselves while practicing a routine. . .
. . why is this??
Mostly to see where
improvements can be made. It is very hard to tell
where you are really at, physique wise, by
looking in a mirror. I like to see
my routine on video to see how the audience perceives my routine,
are they entertained, did it look clean, and did any move look cheesy??
and the last question of this weeks
installment is:

a.) When your in competition who
get's to put the oil all over you??
Actually for fitness we
don't put oil on, we do however have to
paint our tans onJ and of course that is
Jason's job. He gets to make sure
that every inch of me is nice and dark. (especially in those "hard-to-
reach" areas)...
b.) Is that a paying position??
It doesn't pay very
well but it has great benefits! I am
looking
for a back-up person...in case Jason can't make it... J
c.) Are there any job openings for
the upcoming show as "Oil-boy"??
Well actually not
"oil-boy" but I do need someone to spray my
butt with this sticky stuff called Bikini
Bite so that my costume doesn't
reveal too much! J

And now for this weeks
training goals:
Today I did a dress
rehearsal with some of my competition. After seeing most of them I can
determine what
I need to work on the most. The things I plan to improve on this week
the most include, getting a little leaner, tightening my backside,
finding something better to do with my hair on the day of the
show and sharpening my routine.

I plan on leaning out
by running for an hour every morning at 5am,
doing a medium intensity cardio for an
hour at noon, doing the stair stepper
for an hour at night and hopping on the bike at home whenever I am
not busy. For my butt region I am doing a leg workout every day, this
includes lunges in many forms,
deadlifts. (I hold a straight 45lb bar and bend over
and stand up without bending my knees but by keeping my back flat.)
doing a machine called the butt blaster, and doing hyperextensions
and squeezing my butt. - all of my exercises are high reps
e.g. 50 and really light weight, this insures that my legs do not
get bigger they just get tighter. I
will look for hairstyles in magazines and try some stuff on my self.

Finally for my routine,
I am going to practice it with my coach (IFBB
PRO Melanie Webb)!! My diet for this week
is going to kill me most likely!! I am eating only
protein for 5 meals except 2 were I get to have vegetables. I am also
allowed to snack on salad through out the day. I have to have 2 gallons
of water and make sure I take all of my vitamins and minerals!

We will see more and
more of Lisa as Competition Day gets closer. . . . . so until our next

Whew. . . I am beat!! Good thing I only
do the condensed version of Lisa's workout. I'd be dead if I tried the
whole thing.
O.K. freaks. . . that's it for this
weeks edition of Hanging out with Lisa. I'll tell you what, It's as fun
as it sounds and she is even livelier in person. I am honored to have
Lisa grace these pages each week. . . . and hopefully for a long time to
come.
I want to address a small portion of my
readers that ask me about my infatuation with Lisa's posterior ( butt )
and while I am a GREAT fan of her fanny. . . I too am a bigger fan of
the rest of Lisa too ( like her brain ). . but I thought I'd let you see
some of the photo's I have, that haven't been published yet ( they
obviously show that I am "over focused" on other assets too

millennium. . . and I am a big fan of her package. . . (oops, sorry Lisa
;^)
Also, to address the
readers who wonder if Lisa even "likes" games. . well, my
answer is. . she sure says she does and I have proof that she even hangs
out with us. Here's a pick of Lisa hangin' out with the GameSpy guys,
Rick Raymo and Mark Surfas. . .

That's definite proof she
likes us gamers. . . cause even other gamers wont hang out with the like
of US anymore!!!
