I got an e-mail from Brice Mellen the blind 17 year old kid we told you about on Tuesday. The kid is a whiz at playing video games but there is only one problem
thieves STOLE his console and now he doesn’t have a console anymore to play on. I contacted Brice and let him know that the [H] has his back and we are sending him a new Xbox. I’m trying to scrape together some fighting games in the mean time to go with it. If anyone wants his address
e-mail me maybe you got an old Xbox game laying around that could be put to good use.
He told me the story of how he has had his gaming console stolen not once but TWICE from his house. One of the times he was actually at home talking to the "thieves" while they took the console. But even with those setbacks Brice is still has a positive attitude and a strong desire to play games!

It would seem that our GTA:San Andreas giveaway last month was right on
time now that the game has been pulled from store shelves amidst the
whole "Hot Coffee" controversy. I should have stocked up on
those, they'd make a great giveaway now...wouldn't they? I might be able
to get my hands on a bunch of them for giveaways now that they have been
pulled from the shelves.

We will officially open the next donation drive on Monday July 11th. I

various reasons) so feel free to
make a $5 donation and win a HIGH-END
COMPUTER for your efforts. There is no real benefit to "getting in
early" because the number of entries is set at 500, this just
insures your entry makes it in before I close the drive.

Last year around this time we launched our first donation drive to help PA's
Child's Play charity drive. With your help, we raised $10k
and helped Penny Arcade raise a total of over $300,000.00 in donations
and toys for sick children stuck in hospitals around the country. What
makes Child's Play so amazing is the fact that it is GAMERS like us that
make all of this possible. Since we will have Penny Arcade themed
computers, we might as well have the proceeds of this donation drive go
towards Child's Play 2005 and be the first people (again) to donate to
this years drive and kick things off right.

I finally got my connectivity issues worked out and I am now back on
broadband. I normally keep DSL as a back up to my cable modem service
"just in case" but after 3 years of no downtime, I didn't see
the sense of paying $49.99 a month for DSL I wasn't using on top of the
$149.99 I pay for my cable modem, so I
discontinued the DSL late last year....as you can imagine, right after
that....cable service in my area went down and I was stuck without
broadband. So after a few weeks of my cable modem being on the fritz, I finally gave in and had DSL reinstalled as my back up and I
won't be canceling it again. Ever.
