HALF WAY THERE (almost)

KEEP IT GOING PEOPLE. . . .  Look at the numbers FLY!!! I am going to do a contest every 10,000 hits or so, just to keep this interesting. I am learning A LOT from this contest. . . So we'll have it all revamped by then! ! ! !  Remember, when that counter hits 10k or two weeks. . . I can guarantee you, at the rate we went today 1500+ hits. . . I'll be giving this Bad Boy away before Thursday. . . you can have a nice WEEKEND project. . . INSTALLING YOUR NEW TNT2 VIPER V770! ! ! !

Since A LOT of people asked, the way the name will be draw is EXTREMELY scientific, all names will be printed out on sheets of paper. . then with the utmost precision and a pair of plastic playschool scissors ( no running ) they will be cut out, dropped in a bowl, swirled around and one drawn out. . . . no kidding. Pretty damn HIGH TECH here.

Just so everyone knows, I'm off to do a little website "pimpage" and try to make that hit counter do some REAL cool numbers. This site was put up a whoppin' 4 days ago and we're already approaching the 2000 hits mark. . . . . .  Pretty cool if ya ask me. Not to sure how many of you are familiar with FrontPage 98 and 2000 but it's a pretty damn finicky page maker / editor, So I got my main HTML Stud Qwolfe whippin up my new site so when the big HOSTING jumps off around here, you wont have to worry about my SLOPPY-ASS pages anymore. I am doing this myself in the mean time. Hehehe, bear with me until then :^/

Wow, yesterday passed. . . no post, and only a few "hosting" offers came in. O.K. maybe it was just one, and that's only if you can count my Mom as a Web Host. hehehehe. . . .                                    Tons and tons of computer related work being done by me yesterday, little networking going on and built a system for a longtime friend since his 386 wasn't cuttin' the Mus-TURD any more.  Got a few cool things going on game related. . . . finished up a few more model packs and added bot support for my RazorDoom model since a lot of you have been asking for it.

Tweeked the Grunt Model a little and threw my face on it. . . . here's a little animation action for ya. .  ( I'm telling you. . . I got the MAD SKILLZ in many departments. . . )

Got my feelers out for web hosting, we'll let you all know here soon. I have e-mail flying out the wazoo about "what happened to Q3Center hosting", and let me tell ya. . . when I can get someone to answer an e-mail. . . . . You guys will be the first ones to know. . . be calm. . . meditate, masterb. . uh, something. In the  mean time, download the RazorDoom model in all three colors and be happy!!!

Just to let you know, this aint to brag. . . . I've just recently had a little time/aggression to kill, so hell with it. . . gonna log a few Q3A single player hours, easy enough. . . . .

Holy schmoly. . . . . thats loggin' a few. I am a below average player. . . . so you can imagine how many times I was fragged. C'mon 30,000! ! ! !

A lot of dust will be flying over the next few weeks as I get this site underway.  I will get most of the pre-assembled models I have already completed online for download in the FILES section. The TUTORIAL section will have the basics to get you started mixing and matching your own models in no time. Skins will be the last section installed, but I'll throw one or two in there to get it all going. The PHOTOS section will have pictures of completed models I have done to give you a rough idea of the fun you can have being creative with the original Quake 3 models.

I can tell you first hand that MANY of the more prominent skinning/modeling sites told me from the beginning that "NO ONE" is interested in mixing/matching the original Quake 3 Arena models. One site went as far as telling me "we don't have time to cover them because the possibilities and combo's are endless". . . . ummm, isn't that the point?

O.K., I am a serious LOW-TECH / LOW-BUDGET kinda guy, I don't believe a person should need thousands of dollars in software/hardware just to make models for a game. So everything needed is either readily available for FREE or shareware. Matter o' fact, using my method of making these models, everyone can make their own custom models using ONLY the game itself. True, it may be a pain in the butt making a model WITHOUT a modeling program to view your model, but it is possible. . . making this probably one the easiest and coolest forms of "making" custom models.
