First of all, I'd like to Thank Dave for taking the time out of his busy schedule to do this interview. I'm not sure if many of you are aware of the fact that Dave is among the very few "WebMasters" out there who will actually take the time to respond to even the dumbest of requests ( I know, I submitted at least half of last years retarded questions to HotHardware ) I think it says alot about a guy who can still reach out to the little guys when they need it.

Enough of the apple polishing, boot lickin'. . . umm, whatever. . . lets get to the questions, shall we??

1.) How'd you get started in the WebMastering Game and/or who was your inspiration.

 Well, it was pretty much out of necessity. I used to spend way too much money on the latest gear for my PC rig and always had to have the latest and greatest. So I decided I needed to try and do something with all the cool gear I had and really admired the folks that were doing the hardware scene back then. I used to visit sights like Anandtech on a regular basis and thought, heck I could do this thing too. So, I gave it a shot and it has been a blast ever since. I also got lots of help along the way. Many of the folks you see in this arena are really good down-to-earth people.

2.) What's the most outrageous thing you ever did ON your site.

 As far as goofyness goes that would have to be the RatPad review we did a couple of weeks back. We had a lot of fun with this and tried to poke fun at Kyle of the HOCP like he does to many folks himself.

As far as extreme computing goes, well that would have to have been the HotHardware Open Pit Contest we had. Hmm, seems I remember someone winning a spot in that contest that is awful familiar…. ;-)

3.) People you admire in the industry. ( please limit your answer to 2 people and EXCLUDE me, thats a given. . )

 Easy, Anand for his straight-up always well informed and unbiased reviews. The kid is tireless as well. How he produces the volume of quality stuff he does, is beyond me. Not to mention he is a young guy with more maturity than most 30 year olds I know.

Also, Billy and Kyle…… I know it sounds like I am kissing ass here because they are also being interviewed by you as well. But seriously, these guys do one thing REALLY well…. ORIGINALITY. Too often the net is full of lazy folks with no imagination. These guys are innovators.

4.) What's the most annoying thing to deal with as a WebStud.

 The occasional person that sends in email flaming you for a report or review you did and have no concept of what they are talking about. I try to respond to almost every email I get ( and that’s a lot), so these types of hyperactive know-it-alls tend to get tiresome. You learn also not to take them personally.

5.) Does your WIFE still nag you to "Get off that damn computer before I break it" now that your a famous WebDood.

 You bet your ass she does….. I am lucky I am not out on the street right now…. ;-) And who said I am famous??? Will someone PLEASE tell the entire Internet World Community this????!!!

6.) Tips you can give Web-Jedi in training.

 Be yourself, be imaginative, take risks and check your facts before you hit the upload button.
