 Most people OUTSIDE the gaming world know George Webbers work.

Although the majority of you out there **cough** have never been to a site that contains "Adult Content" , but maybe you've just seen the little banners and such, well then chances are, You know George Webber's work.

 . . . but who the hell is George Webber??

I actually came across Mr. Webber by total accident. I was researching a potential interview subject, and I ran across George's work. . . I sat there like most of us do when they see his work and said "man, now there's a dude with serious talent" . So. . being the FREAK that I am, I thought. . what the hell, let's give George a buzz and see if we can get him to spill the beans.

Before and After

1.) How'd you get started in the Art biz and/or who was your inspiration.

I started drawing when I was about 5 or 6 years old and never stopped, almost anything can become (and has been) a inspiration, toys, girlfriends, TV, random thoughts, anything.  As for artistic inspiration a short list would have to be any of the late 50’s cartoon animators like Disney, Warner Brothers and so forth, for Pin-Up art I go with Vargas, Olivia and Sorayama to name a few.  But there’s hundreds of Artist I like and have imitated.

2.) What's the most outrageous thing you ever did ON the job.

When I was an Airbrush artist we did outrageous things all the time, now that I’m a digital artist I rarely even get out of the house. (it’s so sad)

3.) People you admire in the industry. ( please limit your answer to 2 people and      

     EXCLUDE me, thats a given. . )

Only two people, jeez that’s tough and what “industry” do you mean?  Ok, I’ll split it… in the art industry I’ll say Olivia, she’s a great artist and I have tremendous respect for her.  In the Web / Adult industry…Asia Carrera, not enough people know that she a good human being, far beyond her obvious charms.

(and my buddy Steve, he’s a programmer…ha ha, snuck in a third one)

4.) What's the most annoying thing to deal with as an Art Making Dude.

The most annoying thing for me is trying to get paid, I mean art is like sex, you want it done the way you like it and you want it done really well, you just don’t want to have to pay for it.  Everyone tells you how great you are (which is nice) and how much money you should be making, but ask them to pay and poof their gone.

5.) Does your WIFE/GIRLFRIEND still nag you to "Get off that damn computer before I break it" now that your a famous Artist.

No, she gave up trying…now she just sleeps to the hum of the computer fan and thinks of the monitor as a nightlight. (no, I’m not kidding)  And the most wonderful thing about her is she doesn’t get weird about the fact that 70% of what I do is images of women.

6.) Tips you can give Artist-Jedi in training

Tips…1. Practice, Practice, Practice. 2. Remember that YOU are the only one that has to like what you draw to be a happy artist. 3. Have the skills to earn money some other way.

7.) Drink of Choice

Pepsi, Pepsi, Pepsi and Orange Juice…but not together (yuck)

8.) Tunes of Choice
 

I don’t listen to music much and I certainly don’t follow the “music scene”, if I hear something I like, then I like it.  I don’t care about who did it or the style it’s in.

9.) Babe of Choice

Cynthia (my girlfriend/wife), Asia Carrera (my friend), Sung Hi Lee (just a killer babe) and Chun Li from Street Fighter (the game)

10.) The real answer to no. #9 for the married guys who had to say their wives.

Not many people seem to know that I’m smarter than I look.

I'm not sure about all you reading this, but I think that being as talented as George is, he gets paid to do what he likes and beautiful women are his friends. . . jeez, he could die today a very HAPPY man!!
