I may not be the smartest guy on the planet, I may not be that goodlookin', or even the toughest. . . But I sure can lay claim to being the LUCKIEST bastard I know.

I approached Asia for an interview awhile back, fully expecting to be turned down ( that happens with me and fine-ass chicks a LOT. . . sup with that?? ) to my surprise, the answer was YES. Then a few weeks later, I am at E3 and who do I see. . . . Asia. Asia sat in as my guest at my 3dfx meeting, There is nothing cooler on the planet than having Asia Carrera as your guest ANYWHERE!!! . . . I'll save Brian Burke the embarrassment of retelling the part of the story where he leaned over to Asia and asked "I'M SORRY MISS, WHAT WEBSITE DID YOU SAY YOU OWN AGAIN??". . . I coulda crapped. I gotta hand it to Brian, he handled it like a PRO when she said "www.asiacarrera.com" I am an adult film star. . . . . . 

1.) Currently, what's a typical day being Asia Carrera start like??

oooh, starting with the tricky questions, huh... LOL! well, i usually get up at a pathetically late hour in the mid-afternoon, because i keep vampire hours and go to sleep just before the sun comes up. (because of my ridiculously slow 'net connection up on my malibu mountaintop, i like to do my online working in the wee hours, when there's less 'net traffic to fight against) so let's see, i'll wake up, go pee, grab a nutritious breakfast like a bunch of low-fat twinkies, and then plop down in front of my computer to see if i got any exciting emails while i was sleeping... 

2.)How did you get started in computers??

i held out for a long time on buying a computer. i recently came across an early Asia interview where i was quoted as saying "i really am not eager to drop $3000 on something that's going to be obsolete in six months - it sounds like an endless money sink to me..." cripeys, how right i was... why didn't i listen to myself?!?! LOL!!! i finally broke down and got a computer about 4 years ago to write scripts with, because until then i'd been using a typewriter, and you could forget about me doing any rewrites on THAT - one draft was IT, period! so i got the computer just for reworking my script ideas, but once i got to tinkering with my new toy, i forgot all about scripts by the second day... and the rest is history! LOL!

3.) Are you an Intel chick?? OR an AMD woman?? 

both. my favorite baby is my 700 athlon, but i also have a 550 pentiumIII and a 500 celeron, and all three are decked out with nice 21-inch monitors, plenty of RAM and hard drive space, great video cards, the works... what can i say, they're like my kids, and i love spoiling them with upgrades, but i don't feel guilty because it's all tax-deductible, since I'm also a gainfully employed webmaster. :)

4.) What's the most annoying thing to deal with as a Celebrity WebMistress.

forcing myself to take care of the website chores that are boring and repetitious, because i have no tolerance whatsoever for sitting through that mindless monotony. the best thing about being a webmaster, is the freedom to do as i please, with no one looking over my shoulder or telling me how to run my site. but the downside, for me anyway, is that because i choose to work alone, that means there's no one to delegate the crappy tasks to! of course, i like to spend most of my time doing fun stuff like playing in photoshop or chatting in my chatroom, and i'll stall until the very last minute on stuff like handling chargebacks, scanning pics for my paysection, printing out orders and UPS mailing labels, etc. when a deadline is finally staring me in the face, i'll sit myself down at the computer and resolve not to get up until the work is done. ...and then i'll wind up sitting there 10,12,14 hours straight, because i STILL procrastinate, doing every other stupid little thing i can think of first, trying to delay the inevitable, like a little kid who's been told he can't leave the dinner table till he clears his plate of all those damned veggies... DOH!!!

5.) I currently ride the BUS ( short ), what does a beautiful / successful woman like yourself 
drive??? 

I have a silver Corvette that I drive most of the time, and a 4-Runner for the times when a 2-seater sportscar isn't practical or convenient.

6.) You're a pretty big Unreal Tournament / Quake 3 kinda girl. . . are we talking casual gaming 
here?? Or can you dish out a serious ass whuppin'?? 

i can frag the pants off nearly everyone i play, but admittedly, my pals and I are all just hobbyists who enjoy a friendly game whenever we get together - it's not like we sit at home alone playing 24/7, while researching secret tricks to shave a fraction of a second off our reaction times or anything. it's all in good fun, and while i suppose i'm good by the general public's standards, i have no doubt any serious gaming fanatic would thrash my (naked Asiabot's) butt soundly.

mmmm snacks... i love snacks! i love ALL snacks!!! snacks are pretty much all i eat - my fridge is almost completely empty, but my pantry... filled to overflowing with every kind of tasty munchies and yumyums you can think of. all in the not-quite-as-tasty low-fat or no-fat varieties though :( my days of being able to scoff down twinkies while sitting at a computer all day without turning into a beached whale are long gone, i'm afraid...

10.) I noticed you build your own computer systems, how come you don't just buy the "pre-built" systems??

oh please. very funny! i'd be a laughingstock if i called myself a computer geek and used some 'pre-built' setup! assembly line PCs are more than adequate for most people, because the vast majority will never use anything more demanding than microsoft word and internet explorer anyway, but when you consider your computers to be part of the family, like i do, you want to make sure you understand everything about how they work, so you can be sure they're getting the upgrades and maintenence they need to keep them running at peak performance. hell, i don't even like to turn my computers off, because it makes me feel guilty, like i'm taking my kid off life support! LOL!

11.) Everyone knows what the PERFECT woman is like ( chicks that play computer games nekkid ). . .but What's the PERFECT guy gotta have. . . to qualify in your book???

i don't know. i'm a female, we never know WHAT we want. we're moody, and the only thing i'd ever want written in stone is the right to change my mind LOL!

12.) What are the current games your playing right now?? Which games are you looking forward to the most??

unreal is the only game i play. but i did try quake 3 and soldier of fortune briefly, because the companies were kind enough to send me complementary copies after they heard about my affinity for unreal. unfortunately, they just don't give me the same feeling of satisfaction i get from sniping off a good <HEADSHOT!>... hehehe!

13.) What new video card churns your butter??

i have a couple voodoo cards, and a new ati 128 rage fury pro, but i'm waiting on the darned annihilator 2 cards i ordered way back at the E3 show.... <hello, creative, are you listening? where's the friggin' cards i ordered, huh??>

Brian Burke from 3dfx, the man that will solve all Asia's Video Card needs, once he heard of her dilemma, he assured me a card was on the way!!! What a guy. . . Then again a sound marketing move as well, Asia's "LITTLE" site has brought in almost 15 million hits. . . I'm sure her readers would like to know Brian is helping out. -interviewers note

I have a few "Adult" questions I'd like to ask. . . it's just GENERAL questions, but I have ALWAYS wondered....

14.) How come in "Adult Movies" the girls are always wearing theirs shoes?? Chances are that naked chick isn't going anywhere. . but she still has her high heels on.

because the floors are cold and dirty and disgusting, and i personally don't feel very sexy when i point my toes towards the ceiling and they're filthy, covered in dirt, lint, and dust bunnies between the toes - GROSSSSSS!!! i'm a neatfreak, and just the though makes my skin CRAWL!!!! ewwwwwwwwww!!

15.) How come the women in "Adult Movies" have to be gorgeous, but the guys in them are goofy looking??

because the goodlooking guys do gay movies, for 3-4 times as much money LOL!!!


16.) How does a typical day being Asia Carrera end??

i like to unwind with an hour or so of unreal, if anyone's around who's willing to play with me. otherwise, i'll hang out in my chatroom for a while, or work on stuff in photoshop, maybe some new pics for the site, or some new botskins for myself to use in unreal...

damn, you got me! i've been living my life so completely openly and honestly for so long, i really don't think i have any secrets left! i do interviews several times a week, and i have camera crews in my house or following me around at work or public appearances all the time - sometimes from the minute i wake up until i go to bed, because they're so darned determined to scrounge up some stuff that nobody else got yet!! and i don't try to hide anything, because as long as i live my life like an open book, the gossip columnists and rumor mongerers can never come up with any dirt on me - i'll post it all on my own site first, just to beat them to the punch! hehehe!!! :)

I know what many people think about adult film stars. . . . and that's what this whole interview is about, letting people know that whatever you say about adult entertainers might be true 99% of the time, but Asia Carrera is definitely one in a million. She is the 1% that is proud to be a computer geek like the rest of us, she's proud enough to run her OWN site, and to hang with the best of em' on the UT Servers around the country....
