Auction Rules

This is what is referred to as a silent auction. Everyone is allowed to submit a bid for the items they wish, as many bids as they would like. The highest bid will be posted for each item at the end of the day ( 12am Eastern Standard Time ), giving you the opportunity to bid again for the item you want. At the end of the auction, the highest bid will be contacted.

EXAMPLE:

On day one of the auction I bid on System #1. My bid is $4.00.... at the end of that day, I see that the highest bid is now $10.00. So I the next day, I bid higher for the item... and so on.

HOW TO BID:

Simply enter your NAME, E-MAIL ADDRESS, BID AMOUNT $$ ( in US Dollars )

WINNING BIDS:

The winning bid will be selected on Oct. 5th, Friday night. The winners will be notified via e-mail. The top 3 bids will be taken in the event of a default by the current highest bidder. 

ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF PAYMENT:

Due to the HIGH AMOUNT OF LEGALITIES involved in doing something like this as an "individual" and NOT a non-profit organization, a great deal of thought went into this. I have set up a PayPal account so that bidders that choose to use credit cards or existing PayPal accounts will be able to.

I will also accept Money Orders, Certified Checks, Personal Checks ( must clear bank before shipment ) and Travelers Checks. The "PAY TO" area must be blank and In the memo area of the check or money order...it MUST say Auction. Every PENNY of this money will be denoted to the auction.

PRIZE SHIPMENT:

All items will be shipped Express, INSURED with Tracking. The insurance will be 150% the amount of your winning bid. You will be contacted with the shipping information and tracking number as soon as the package is shipped. All shipping is paid for by Hypothermia. No shipping expenses will be incurred by the bidder.

Donation Rules

In the event that the auction item you wish to bid on gets out of range, but you still want to participate in the HardOCP / Hypothermia auction, you can make donations through the PayPal account we set up. After all, sometimes it feels better to donate with us, AS A GROUP, than it does to donate privately.
