Today's Advice

When you go in for a job interview, I think a good thing to ask is if they ever press charges.

Have a very Happy New Year, and be safe....

New Phone -Steve
Ended up getting a new cell phone, didn't want the old Nokia I had been lugging around...and the Sony I had before that was an analog phone ( read = outdated ). So I snagged up a new phone, and the damn thing is tiny...T-I-N-Y, tiny. Not sure if I like the way phones are getting so small you can hide them in a body cavity, not that I have tried or anything. Check it out...

Xmas Stuff -Steve
Hopefully everyone has a nice Xmas this year and you get all the things you want. For all of you cigar smokers out there ( I am not a smoker, but I enjoy cigars ) I suggest a gift like the one my wife and best friend got me this year. I got a new humidor for my desk loaded with an assortment of cigars. If you can get past the part that you are smoking a $10 bill ( or more ) every time you light up a cigar, then it is actually a very enjoyable experience.

Asia's X-mas Card -Steve
As always, the Goddess of Geek herself dropped an X-mas card off for all of you today and wished you all a very Merry X-mas. I think it is incredibly cool that Asia makes sure to include all of you on her X-mas list...I'm sure all of you would like her on YOUR list.

Xbox Live! Contest -Steve
Yes folks, it is open. One retail Xbox Live! package will be given away EACH DAY until New Years Day. Hit the link and get in it to win it.

12.17.02 -Steve
I will open our next "ONE A DAY..." contest at the end of today, or early tomorrow morning. This next contest is sponsored by the fantastic people in the Microsoft Gaming Division. We are giving away an
Xbox Live! kit each day until we ring in the New Year!!! Maybe more of I can arrange it. Go enter to win!!!

Lack of Updates -Steve
I apologize for the lack of updates over the last 3-4 days, I am extremely sick. Bed rest sucks, but is much needed. I will update soon with the next contest details and a few projects I have cooking, but in the mean time I am simply resting for awhile.

New Winner!!! -Steve
A new winner was finally selected, confirmation has been received, so X-mas can finally go off without a hitch!!. Woo Hoo. I had a ton of people writing and asking me to publish the name of the original winner, and for the obvious reasons, we NEVER publish names of winners without their express consent. Obviously someone who didn't respond to their winning notification...also didn't give us consent to print his name. Someday, I might print a story about some of the HILARIOUS things that have happened with our contests, and how the rules became the way they are today.

12.06.02 -Steve
It was bound to happen, things have ran so smooth over the last year... I guess we we're overdue, we will select another name from the hat tonight. Get your last minute entries in!!!

Everyone is caught up in the KGR fever, even those crazy guys at Troy's Bucket. We have been friends with the gang over there for awhile, and feel honored when we find ourselves the subject of one of their cartoons. That strip is hilarious...the longer you look, the funnier it is.

CNN Interview -Steve
CNN Technology Correspondent Daniel Sieberg, a buddy of ours, let us pick his brains...you know... "Interview the interviewer" kinda thing. You can read the interview here, I will mirror a copy of the interview here locally, but for now head on over to my alter-ego site and check it out.

12.05.02 -Steve
The suspense is killing me, still no response from our Killer Gaming Rig winner...HOLY MOLY...could it be we will have to draw a new winner on Friday?? It might just happen. I also have a great contest coming up for you guys next, you're gonna love it!!

12.02.02 -Steve
Sorry for the lack of updates this week, I have been without net access for a week. If anyone has every had this error message from their computer and it was NOT one of the computers in their home causing it, please send me an e-mail. I have two ISP's blaming each other for the screw up, but I don't know which one is telling the truth...input from you guys could really help.

I will have the Killer Gaming Rig #8 notified ASAP, cross your fingers and toes ( eyes too ).

Asia Update -Steve
Asia wanted to let you guys know that she just finished up her appearance on TechTV when she ran into none other than Kevin Spacey. Well whaddya know, Mr. Spacey is also a fan of our Goddess of Geek . Very cool...I am not sure who looks more thrilled though, Asia or Kevin.

It is totally awesome to have a movie star read your website and appreciate what you do, how many people can say that? But it is a totally different thing to get to meet and hang out with them in person. Dammit, I'm jealous... I'd have grabbed his butt ( sorry Kevin ). Besides, after having Asia as our number one fan, even Kevin Spacey takes a backseat to her, and I am sure he agrees.
