Some of the best news I have heard in a while.... My Abit KT7-Raid came in today and the KGR 2 is being assembled as we speak. I still need a RAM Sponsor ( 128mb PC133 ) because I am using MY memory from the kids rig for testing etc... but I should have it benchmarked and tested and ready to roll by this time next week.. so get in it to win it, if you haven't already.

O.K. , I get tons of mail from people saying they love the site, the contests are AWESOME, many people really like the interviews and autographed games etc..... Some people just like Asia and Lisa :^) The general message is that the CONTENT of my site kicks ass. . . but there's a problem. And it usually revolves around the fact that my content is great, but my site looks like ASS. I know it, you know it. . . So now I am wanting to fix it... 

This is an actual REAL contest open to all HTML code junkies out there... I am sure there are a ton of you out there with the skillz looking to prove em....and needing some cool prizes too...

Well, I told you guys I had a "surprise" for you today, well there's good news on the GeForce 2 Giveaway that I cancelled the other day ( then had a hernia and wrote a big fat rant..heh, sorry ;^). I ordered a GeForce 2 board to fulfill the current contest obligation. But I needed two more boards to complete the giveaway...

Brian Burke. . . . that super cool MoFo at 3dfx has contacted me and let me know he has sent two Voodoo5-5500's and some cool 3dfx T-shirts so I can finish out my contest. Here's one for ya guys. . . . I need a Digital Camera, I am gonna go out next week and plop down the serious cash for a new one, if I cant find one through my site. Someone has got to have a decent camera they are interested in trading or selling. I have everything from Video Cards to CPU's etc for trade, I just hope I can find one for trade BEFORE next payday. . and I go plop down the cash.... O.K.  I have a few 64mb Video Cards in the works, I'll make sure the giveaway goes off as planned. I am pooling my resources right now. Heh... the funny thing is, I complain about what dicks NVIDIA PR Team is.... but I am the DORK that kept dealing with them. So allowing this stuff to happen is my fault. So I am making sure this doesn't happen, I will still giveaway NVIDIA boards ( they have a great product ), I will simply buy them or get them from somewhere else ... problem solved, ulcers avoided.

Big screwed up story. . . . .  I have cancelled the next two GeForce 2  Giveaways. I am so embarrassed because here comes the flood of "I told you so" letters. What has happened is half way through the giveaways that Derek Perez of NVIDIA agreed to in his interview, he has now backed out.I sent an e-mail saying I would need the other boards to continue the contest ( they only sent HALF the boards to me originally ) and I got a nice little "how about some T-shirts" e-mail in reply. I am cooking up some replacement boards now...

Small cool story. . . . Bought a Logitech WebCam awhile back.. the button to take still images broke which pretty much hosed the camera. I contact Logitech about a replacement and the guys there ( Jim and John in particular ) were FANTASTIC. New camera on it's way.... come to find out CompUSA sold me a camera that was over a year old ( when I bought it ) as new. No problemo, Logitech only cared about when the CUSTOMER bought it and honored the warranty...for a newer model camera.

O.K. , I know the page is loading slower than crap. . . . I am working on it. . .really. We are just getting the kinks out of the new server, and mail is a priority right now too. But yes I know the page is slower than trying to suck chunky peanut butter through a straw ( someone else said that .. not me ;^) So rest assured, I am on it... cool??

Well, the Shiny guys have outdone themselves this time. . . My buddy Stuart Roch was gonna get me A copy of Messiah autographed for my contest, well they sent THREE!! Mad props go out to Stuart and the whole Messiah team... gotta love it when the game developers are all about getting some cool free stuff!!! So instead of ONE autographed winner. . . all winners will receive and autographed copy. I am waiting confirmation before I announce the winners!!!

Well, some of you have noticed that the page has been screwed up for the past 24hrs, this is due to a few problems... One, we switched servers to our own box, in our own little corner of the world. Pretty damn spiffy. It gives us direct control over many things that we didn't have control over before....BUT during the switch, these MORONS at Rizenet sent me a grand total of just under 10,000 e-mail crashing not only my mail server, but since I am on a cable modem it severely thrashed my system. . . I spent my whole damn 32nd Birthday getting myself back online. . . It will be at least a few days before I get the time to re-do my main rig, I am updating from my sons rig  . . . all Rizenet could do, was blame other people.. no apology, no nothing. The good news is my ISP is all over him now.

It will take me a few days to get caught back up on contest mail and such, I haven't been able to get any mail for the last day.... If you are sending me mail, please be patient... I'll get back to you.  Way to spend my Birthday, Thanks Rizenet.

O.K. I have updated the contest page  with the Legend Game Pack winners, the Q3A Team Arena Winners and last but not least. . . the Voodoo5-5500 (second) winner has been announced. . . Just for laughs, I scanned both the V5-5500 and the GeForce2 together to give you a look at them side by side... and yes, I said scanned, since I still don't have a new digital camera yet after the last one was stolen. The good news is Kodak contacted  me..but only to remind me to always lock my doors.....sheesh, how about a **cough** review **cough** camera from Kodak?? 5 days until my birthday. . . wow. I am getting OLD. Heh, the funny part is my wife's birthday is the 16th, Asia Carrera is celebrating her 27th birthday in Hawaii ( it was the 6th ) and young Austin Bennett was born on the 8th. . . .

A lot of people ask me just how in the hell do I come up with all this stuff to give away?? Sometimes people ask me how I choose products or sponsors etc. And surprisingly enough, I actually have hardware vendors contact me and ask me what I need. . . . Less than two weeks until my birthday. . . ugh. But to cheer me up, I am putting my interview with Stuart Roch online. Stuart was/is the Executive Producer on titles like Messiah, the upcoming Sacrifice and others at Shiny. I have an extra special treat ( as always with Hypothermia interviews ) I am giving away a few copies of Messiah, one is even personally autographed by the team....
