Weekend Stuff -Steve
How many of you have the Photoshop skillz required to make a nice WinAmp Skin for Hypothermia?? I am currently using our [H]ard|OCP WinAmp skin that I bastardized into a Hypothermia skin. . . but I really want one of my own. If I get a little feedback on this ( ie: you guys would like one. . .) I'll hold an official contest, and dish out a decent prize for one. . . this is what I am using right now

Fri. 04.27.01 -Steve
I have reached a point where I have enough prize stuff. . . but I have NO IDEA what to offer up next. So I am gonna try out a little idea. . . letting you guys decide what should be next. It's pretty simple, follow the link and click on what you'd like to see given away next. You can vote as many times as you'd like. . . so give it hell.

Mon. 04.23.01 -Steve
Contest time again guys. . . I am wrestling around with 3 - 4 interviews right now, so to keep you guys busy in the mean time, more CONTEST STUFF!! I have a complete watercooling kit from them cool ass guys at Overclockers Hideout. I am including everything to watercool the CPU ( both socket & slot ), Copper Shims, a Peltier, the Reservoir / Pump, the monster Radiator with dual 120mm fans, Video Cooler, Video Ram Sinks, you name it. . . . Check it out.

So get in it to win it. . . .

Wow -Steve
In some aspects, I am a lucky. . . lucky man. I spoke with Lisa Dixon's main squeeze, Jason Hall, and he caught me up to date on Lisa's busy schedule etcetera. We will be sitting Lisa down for a few questions so we can catch you up to date with her ( magazine appearances and such ) as well as show off her brand new LOOK. We are also hooking up a little downloadable video action too. . . . damn guys, life is good. Check out Lisa's area

Weekend Stuff -Steve
And with both of our "one day" contest winners picked, it's time to start working on another giveaway... Oh, and just because it kicks so much ass to see Asia Carrera and my website in the same picture, I'll post this one. Mmmmm. . . . check out Kitten Little ( the kitty ) inspecting the hardware. We are turning Asia into a Watercooling Nerd like me now.

Although I haven't posted all of the info on the KGR4 page yet. . . . I have damn near everything together for the KGR4. It will again be an AMD powered bad ass machine. And for the extra little kick, it'll be a DDR system to boot!! I am in serious need of a MONITOR SPONSOR though. So if you work for a company that makes monitors, or something close. . . give me a buzz. Or just shoot your favorite monitor company an e-mail asking them WHY they don't sponsor the KGR contests!!!!

**update** SO-TRICKCOMPUTERS TO THE RESCUE **update**

Fri. 04.20.01 -Steve
Heh. . . there is a bright side to everything, sometimes you have to look really hard. . . othertimes it's staring you right in the face. My wife car caught on fire in the grocery store parking lot while she was shopping the other day. It burnt to the ground. What is the "bright side" of that?? Check out one of the new fire trucks we have in our town. . . . yeah baby.

Koolness with Koolance -Steve
I just finished up my review of the complete "off the shelf" watercooling system by Koolance for [H]ardOCP. I'll tell you guys, the thing kicks major ass. The damn thing is cheaper than most "blowhole" cases out there. . . I may end up using it for an upcoming KGR. . . yeah buddy!!

Tuesday the 17th -Steve
You guys will remember that awhile back I had a clamp on my watercooling system "pop" and the result was a torched 1GHz T-bird. . . right? I had talked with Kyle ( the king of dead T-birds ;^) about making a keychain and giving it away. . and I totally spaced. Well. . I cam across it again the other day. . . so here we go. By tomorrow night. . I will give this thing away to someone. Same rules to all contests, apply here. . . get in there and win it!!

Monday the 16th -Steve
I have updated the contest page, the Core and ThermoEngine heatsink / fan winners have been picked. I have one slight problem, the winner of the Core HSF responded, but has yet to get back to me for confirmation. So, for one day only I am taking entries for someone to win this $80 HSF unit from Overclockers Hideout. And if you are H.S. Ibarra, please contact me about your prize, I am giving it away ;^)

Head over to the contest page to enter

Friday the 13th -Steve
Got some interview stuff coming your way. . . I have some winners to announce, and for the hell of it, I might even kick off some more game giveaways to boot. Been working at the OCP alot lately, and am currently reviewing an assload of stuff as well. . . I'll let everyone know tonight how the CAT scan turned out too. ( mucho easier than an MRI...for sure )

Mon 4.09.01 -Steve
Well, I'm off to get a CAT Scan today. . . apparently there is a bulge in my L5-S1 that protrudes out the center toward the spinal column ( nerves ). If you remember, I had the MRI ( where they stick you in a big tube ) which "see's" soft tissue better, and now I am off for the CAT Scan which "see's" bone better. Heh. . . . if they wanted to see my bone, damn...they coulda just asked ;^)

Wish me luck.

Weekend -Steve
Well, as much bitching as I have done about wanting a Hercules Game Theater XP and some nice Surround Sound Speakers for the KGR4 ( heh, and maybe an extra set for myself ;^) . . . I still haven't got jack. I think I need to fine tune my begging skills. What I DO have for you today, is my next giveaway. . . FOUR SETS OF SURROUND SOUND SPEAKERS and a MAXI SOUND MUSE SOUNDCARD to go with each one. We're not talking state of the art here, but I personally paid for these puppies myself. Each bundle is worth about $125.00 each. . . so no complaining ;^) I had to decide between buying the all-out sound system for the KGR4 or get these for you guys. . . looks like you win.

( now... if I could just get a Hercules Game Theater XP and Klipsch ProMedia's donated to the KGR 4, I'd  be happy )

Thu 4.05.01  -Steve
More giveaway action coming up. . . . deciding on what will be next. Will get some of my interview stuff rolling soon as well. Stay tuned.

Thanks to ALL of you who have sent in the kind e-mail and well wishes. It means a lot to me, and really helps out when you have something like this happen.

Mon 4.02.01  -Steve
Hey guys. . . a handful of you know this already, but I thought I'd catch everyone up to speed here with what has been going on with me. About three and a half weeks ago, I was fairly seriously injured on the job. . . my real job. I work at the airport here in town, managing all the food and beverage facilities. The company I work for is responsible for managing all the bars and restaurants ( Cheers, Starbucks, Chili's Too, Cinnebon, FoodCourt, TCBY, Burger King etc. ) in damn near every major airport in the U.S. .

I had gotten a call from one of the bartenders at Cheers saying they needed some kegs changed, the beer was "out". If you'll notice in the photos, the kegs are stacked end to end, anything more than a breeze will knock them over, and while bending over and checking to see which of the kegs was empty, the stack behind me toppled over, striking me in the lower back.

Bad news is, I see the chiropractor 4 times a week, and had to go in for an MRI. . .it's where they stick you in the big CAT scan tube and get pictures etc.. . . sucks ass.

The good news is, after I get most of my doctors appointments settled down, the Workman's Comp stuff taken care of. . . I will have a lot more time to get things done around here. . . I'll be able to devote more time to begging for FREE STUFF to give away. . etc. Since it's not to hard to use a keyboard and mouse, I'll be able to devote more time to you guys. Cool???

So now you know "what's up" with me. . . .

April Fool's Day -Steve
Hey gang, just tied up the Serious Sam competition. . . the winners will have their copies sent out in the A.M. Congrats to our winners. I will have some new contest info up and out soon. . . will be cool for sure. So look for that tomorrow or the next  day.

Countdown to E3 -Steve
Well, with all my E3 2001 stuff rolling in, I can't help but think of last years E3. I got to meet the biggest names in the industry. . . and then some. Hung out with some of the coolest MoFo's on the planet ( Levelord, Jason Hall, Xian Antkow, Tom Hall, John Romero, Lisa Dixon, Asia Carrera. . etc. ), one of those cool MoFo's was IceT who was there promoting Sanity: Aiken's Artifact for Monolith / Fox. I happened to get IceT to autograph a shirt or two for me, since Jason and I spent half the day standing a foot away from him. I am giving away one of these shirts to kick off the countdown to E3 2001. . . . GET IN THERE AND WIN! ! !

Speaking of last years E3. . . check out the coverage HERE.
