I guess broadband via drone is better than no broadband at all?
Not only is AT&T partnering with Google Loon to provide cellular connectivity to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico, but the company is deploying its own broadband drones to help locals as well. In a blog post, AT&T discusses how the company is taking the traditional approach of a cellular tower on wheels (WOW) and taking it to the air. COWs have long been used to supplement spotty coverage in disaster areas, or during major events when usage overwhelms traditional towers.
