FiOS Loses Top Spot in PC Magazine ISP Speed Rankings

Score on for the little guy!

Verizon FiOS has lost its top spot in PC Magazine's latest ranking of the fastest US ISPs. According to the magazine's full rankings, that title now belongs to Hotwire Communications (see our user reviews), an east coast fiber-based, apartment and MDU-focused ISP the magazine somehow deemed worthy of joining the list of major ISPs, despite a notably small overall footprint. Hotwire's average speed of 91.3 Mbps far exceeded Suddenlink (Altice, 49.1 Mbps), Verizon Fios (48.3 Mbps), and Comcast (46.6 Mbps).
