Intel Extreme Masters Season 12 Debuts in Sydney, Australia, with $200,000 Prize Pool

Intel® Extreme Masters (IEM), the longest-running global pro gaming circuit, kicks off Season 12 Down Under making its debut in Sydney, Australia, on May 6-7. IEM Sydney marks the first time that Intel and tournament producer ESL – the world’s largest esports company – have brought the competition to the continent. The Season 11 finale at the 2017 World Championship in Katowice, Poland, broke records to become the biggest esports event in history, with 173,000 attendees and 46 million fans tuning in to the event broadcast.
