Incredibly the drone flew on, seemingly with a life of its own. It flew across three states, exceeding its stated range by 556 miles. It somehow soared to an altitude of 12,000 feet, enabling it to cross the Rocky Mountains. The drone eventually crashed into a tree outside Evergreen, Colorado, where it was found by a hiker ten days later. How did this happen? Nobody really knows.
