AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Review

Although the crew at techPowerUP gave the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X a high score, they seemed to have mixed feelings about the processor on the whole.

In this review, we are taking a look at the top-dog Ryzen 7-1800X processor, and comparing it with the Core i7-7700K and the i7-6700K chips we have at hand. This chip features clock speeds of up to 3.60 GHz, with TurboCore (boost) frequency of 4.00 GHz, with a neat little feature called extended frequency range (XFR), which rewards good CPU cooling with automatic overclocks beyond the 4.00 GHz boost clocks.
